First, I think Elizabeth kept her aunt's letter a secret because JA's novels are all about keeping secrets, including quite unnecessary ones. ;-)

Second, I think she may have kept it a secret because she is not in a normal state of mind at this time. IMO she doesn't trust her own judgement anymore where Darcy is concerned, and isn't even sure that he has done this for *her* sake.
