Are you new?

I am reminded of my business communication seminar participants whom I remind, "You may know the rules of good communication, but do you use them? There's difference is knowing rules and actually putting these words into action."

In this case, Mr. Darcy knows how to go about being a host and interacting with people properly, but he does not always choose to do so. When Elizabeth and the Gardiners were at Pemblerley, he chose to "do so."
