"perfectly satisfied with the conversation"   Written by Benedicte (5/16/2010 3:25 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Is Wickham a compulsive liar?, penned by Kathleen Glancy
Are you new?

I have always held that sentence as sheer irony... and maybe also playing with the double meanings of the words satisfied ("happy because you have earned what you wanted" and "convinced that something is true"), and perfectly ("totally" and "showing perfection").

IMO he understands that Lizzy knows much more about him than he cared to unveal, and that disturbs him sufficiently to never broach that subject again.
