Are you new?

Actually, once I'd begun analyzing the gossip in P&P, I started wishing I'd focused on how information in general is conveyed, as well! While gossip is often surprisingly accurate, there is more than one example where information is conveyed without a word being spoken!

On the subject of Darcy's proposal, I'm quite sure he *didn't* tell Georgiana about his proposal and rejection. He could certainly have told her about a young lady he admired without letting on that he was in love with her, IMO. (What Georgiana may have guessed is another story!)
