I was not referring to the difference between "uninteresting" and "not having the smallest interest."

My point was that Darcy did not say that they were uninteresting, as far as we know, the next day or any other time.

What the narrator tells us is that that is what Darcy thought, presumably contemperaneously, not the next day after reflection, as you suggested.
