Are you much acquainted with Mr. Darcy?   Written by Stephanie (5/12/2010 2:21 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, I agree - introversion is a trait of the immediate family, penned by Karen G
Are you new?

I am not sure that would help - introversion and extroversion do not seem to have a measurable genetic connection. Or is it nurture, not nature? Well, I will just say 'familial' and leave it at that.

I have friends who are introverted without being shy. They like small groups, preferably one-on-ones with favoured people, rather than large parties, even if the gatherings are not raucous. They like the interchange of ideas, and clever talk or comfortable silence rather than everyone trying to carry on many conversations at once. They dislike the IDEA of forced social events, even if the reality turns out to be not as bad as they feared. So, dating, office-parties, family reunions, even roasts or showers thrown for them are all experiences they anticipate with dread.

Darcy seems like an introvert to me.
