Are you new?

Upon reading the letter penned by Mr. Darcy the day after his failed marriage proposal, I could visualize THE very Mr. Darcy so much in its content I simply could not imagine our Miss Austen capable of being its actual author! That goes for the letters of Mr. Collins and all of the letters of P&P. How a single author can create such diverse letters that so uniquely showcase her cast of characters borders on the sublime. Am I making any sense here?
