Interesting   Written by Lenora (5/12/2010 9:14 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, But didn't Wickham consider the consequences?, penned by Anne-Marie
Are you new?

I think it's also interesting that Wickham uses elopement as his Standard Operating Procedure. So, 15-year-old girls and elopement seems to be his standard practice. I don't think he considers the consequences nor plans ahead. My speculation is that he needs to escape but needs female companionship who will flatter him. The flattery stands as a distraction from the stress of being in debt. This helps him cope.
