A very interesting question   Written by Connie (5/11/2010 8:03 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Mr. Bennet unaltered, penned by RobinT
Are you new?

I have noticed that in JA's novels, it often takes two crises for the hero and/or heroine to complete the change they need in their character. Mr. Bennet suffered through one, and his change did not stick. If Lydia had not been saved, my vote would be in favor of his change being permanent.
