I always thought it was probably Mrs.B's fault that lydia ended up like that. Let's not forget when Mrs.B tells them that she too thought her 'heart would break'when the militia left her town. God, like mother like daughter! Lizzie and Jane are lucky to escape that fate somehow. Jane especially because, other than Lydia she seems to be Mrs.B's favorite.
