I do not know that Lady CatdB LIKES Elizabeth. She merely gets bored and likes to command visitors at her convenience. Remember how they stopped being invited so often when her nephews were visiting? She spoke to them very little when the Collinses and their guests did come to her, too.

Besides, when you are in love with your own voice, a new audience for your self-flattery and instruction is always welcome.
