Miss Darcy looked as if she wished for courage enough to join in it; and sometimes did venture a short sentence when there was least danger of its being heard. --ch45 Poor Georgiana. Perhaps it's unkind to laugh, but I do anyway. (Also at Rudyard Kipling's Chuchundra, the muskrat who never had spirit enough to run out into the middle of the room.)
