Tea with Georgiana   Written by Cheryl (5/9/2010 11:08 p.m.)
Are you new?

What an awkward little tea party Elizabeth and her group had at Pemberley. You can just feel the strain in the air, what with the Superior Sisters alternately silent and cutting, and Georgiana too shy to say a word. Then Darcy appears and everyone starts watching him and Elizabeth for signs of regard. What a room of roiling emotions it must have been.

Thanks goodness for food, for "…though they could not all talk, they could all eat." (ch. 45) LOL! That sentence is such a great tension-reliever.
