Thanks for mentioning that. Yet another proof of JA's genius and sense of humour!

Just after we have heard of Georgiana's near elopement, we see that some people put their pride on the appearance of propriety and are totally blind to real sense of honour.(see Lizzy's comment to Jane in ch 40: "one has got all the goodness and the other all the appearance of it").

(it is my 1st group read of a JA's novel; how great it is to discover yet new treasures in a book you have already read scores of times!>
