We learn in ch 35 (THE letter) that he and Colonel Fitswilliam "were most unhappily deceived" in Mrs Younge's character.

OTOH Lady Catherine never errs when placing out a young person, since when she recommend even a young person only accidentally mentioned to her to a family, that family "was delighted with her"

How lucky it is for those careless young men that they managed to conceal Georgiana's scrape from lady Catherine! :-)
