Why Let Lydia Go?   Written by Aaron (5/6/2010 3:34 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Father, May I?, penned by BarbaraB
Are you new?

I never understood why Mr. Bennet allows Lydia to go with the Fosters. She is a girl of little fortune, not enough for the men to trifel with, but isn't that the red flag, a mans a man and she has no fortune so why be worried of her ruin? She has so little and she is the way she is, it seems like it isn't hard to imagine her getting into trouble. What does a officer care if he uses her ill? Bad parenting award for sure. I still like Mr. Bennet though, can't help it, it's his dry wit!
