Are you new?

A practical joke played at the Colonel's residence by his silly wife and her wild, loud friend - of COURSE he knew about it! I was talking about the officer-guests arriving later, not the officer-inhabitant of the house.

I enjoy the story better as it being a put-upon servant, so, with no text to correct us either way, I will going on thinking it so, and allow that you can as easily think it an officer joining in willingly. Truce?
