The other day I was visiting the Ramble board, and added a comment about Mr. Darcy to a thread there. I had just that morning been re-reading a bit about the character of Mr. Darcy, on the "Male Voices in Praise of Jane Austen" website, which has been preserved by Pemberlean, Linda Fern. (thanks again, Linda!)

I wholeheartedly agree with the premise on that site (linked below) but I never see that any one else feels the same way here. It's one of the reasons I don't get into discussions about Mr. Darcy. In my opinion, what Elizabeth says in this statement is that Mr. Darcy does NOT actually change in the course of P&P, nor does he need to. Read it, if you have time, and see what you think.
