If we want to delve into the psychology of Lydia, I think the neglect of Mr. Bennet might lead her to seek the attention of as many men as she could. Doesn't this happen to girls in real life? Lydia was only 15. If she is getting no male attention from her father, she may seek overt attention and affection/admiration from less worthy men. More likely than ADD, IMO.
