Are you new?

IIRC all we know at the Netherfield ball is that Denny knew that Wickham did not like Darcy and suspected Wickham did not attend the ball because Darcy would be present.

Anything beyond that, if my memory serves, is speculation--which is welcome and tantalizing but not validated by the text.

(P.S. I wickedly wished you could change your subject header to something like "Wickham's deceptions (endless)." LOL)
