Departure queries   Written by Stephanie (5/3/2010 10:26 p.m.)
Are you new?

Does anyone think that Colonel Fitzwilliam, who made it clear he has no intentions to Elizabeth, was waiting on her to corroborate his cousin's information about Wickham? Or was it merely a good-bye that he did not want to miss?

And did you notice the only point of difference that was easily checked by records between Wickham's account and Darcy's? Darcy says that Wickham's father outlived the elder Mr. Darcy, but Wickham says that the elder Mr. Darcy gave a deathbed promise to the elder Mr. Wickham.
