I never thought that Elizabeth's memory of Charlotte was about her advice that Jane should show more affection. I thought [...] and she could not help remembering what Charlotte's opinion had always been [...] referred to Charlotte's concern that if Jane concealed her emotions from others, she might be hiding them from Bingley himself: "Remember, Eliza, that he does not know Jane's disposition as you do."
