Single-minded affection   Written by Robbin (4/30/2010 7:31 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, too pleasantly engaged to think of any third person, penned by Stephanie
Are you new?

Thank you Stephanie! You make a great point. You are right Lizzy’s thoughts are not as saturated with Wickham as Jane’s are with Bingley. I think Lizzy’s feelings for Wickham at the Netherfield ball were intense but no where near the same depth as Jane’s for Bingley. Her confession to Mrs. Gardiner, “I have never been much in love; for had I really experienced that pure and elevating passion” (Ch. 26) suggests to my imagination the intensity of Lizzy feelings about Wickham are in part because she has never experienced these sort of feelings before. (:D)
