Neither would that provide her a home, bread and butter, and children.

Choice for Charlotte was between intelligent conversation and future security. She chose the latter and I don't blame her.

After all she got what she wanted - a comfortable home.
She had no other demands.

In comparison Lizzy has other demands, and so her choice has to go according to that.
