Nothing is sure,   Written by Reeba (4/30/2010 1:40 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Are you sure that Elizabeth was the only, penned by kathleen (elder)
Are you new?

It's all conjecture.

The oldest of her siblings, Mariah, doesn't give the impression as one providing Charlotte with intelligent conversation.
The young brother mentioned, is too young. In fact it is my feeling (considering the wine drinking ambitions of one of her brothers) that her siblings are either too young or not the kind to have intelligent conversation with.

This is as much a conjecture as the one that Charlotte may not have anyone intelligent to talk to.
Just as richness does not ensure intelligence, vice versa is also true.
Perhaps during her business visits to the village she is able to meet a Robert Martin. :-)

The quote from your other post;
>Chapter 30: "Their other engagements were few,

Since it doesn't rule out other engagements completely it gives ground for conjecturing.
