I like how you word it. Can we expect a women of those times or even our own to live an existence without. At 27 Charlotte might have been a spinster, can we really expect her not to think that despite her husbands short comings, that her life was better, not for the possible loveless marriage, but for the fulfillment that is to share a life with someone else. I hate to bring it up, but should Charlotte live a sexless, aloneness that is what is expected of life of a spinster. She has a opportunity to enjoy all the fruits of marriage I realize that sex is taboo when it comes to JA, but can we fault anyone for wanting more in that regaurd, when sex fills our every day isn't it a break to read JA, when those thing weren't discussed but everyone has a need to be loved and no one can doubt that Mr. Collins will love Charlotte.
