Does anyone Know?   Written by Aaron (4/29/2010 3:47 p.m.)
Are you new?

Now Mr. Collins being the only male heir of Mr. Bennet, inherits all property and finances accepting for the 1000pounds(correct me if I'm wrong) that Mrs. Bennet brought to the marriage. Why than can Lady Catherine inherit Rosings Park and a considerable amount of money? She has no sons so wouldn't all her property go to Mr. Darcy? And it would be in his good graces that she could live in the manner she is accustomed to? Yet there is no mention that this is so. Lady Catherine is quite adamant about being a woman of means and uses her position to tell people how to live their lives. I don't understand how the Bennet girls could be destitute by one word of Mr. Collins yet Lady Catherine lords (pun intended) over her subjects.
