I always took her urging Lizzy to visit Written by Connie (4/29/2010 2:24 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Charlotte is not unhappy -- and I can understand that, penned by kathleen (elder)

as further evidence for what you say. In P&P2, Charlotte says Lizzy will be as welcome as either her father or Maria, though I don't think that line is in the novel. Like Mr. Bennet says of Longbourne, when Lizzy is not there, there is no sense to be found.
