Can Someone Tell Me   Written by Aaron (4/29/2010 1:04 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, And if she learns that his flaws are worse than, penned by kathleen (elder)
Are you new?

Does Charlotte ever say that she thinks Mr. Collins is absurd? I'm flipping through and can't find a reference. We know on many occasions that Lizzie finds him ridiculous but Does Charlotte ever say she too shares Lizzies opinion? Certainly Charlotte could not have been immune to Mr. Collins dull wit but a women who's prospects were few to none, she does not expect to be over the moon but is Mr. Collins the worst choice? He is no lothario like Wickham, had Charlotte run away with Wickham would we not be more concerned for her future? Is living a quiet life with a god fearing husband with a small amount of income to see them through not better than the alternatives? Sure you got to deal with Lady Catherine and a silly husband but it's a chance at a different kind of life and who knows maybe with children things for Charlotte would change focus.
