good case for it. She is my favorite female character after Elizabeth --- Jane is too humble and the other sisters are either very silly or too prim and proper (Mary). Mr C is probably very happy -- he has an intelligent and accomplished wife, a wealthy patroness, a living, and the promise of an estate. And I agree with you that the elder Bennets have not apparently done much with their property, but there is that reference to the "farm" (where the horses are needed in the first section) that is never expanded upon.
