I love this passage in the book, it always makes me think of my dad. Perhaps when Mr. Bennet teasingly suggests to Lizzie that Mr. Wickham is the man to break her heart, it's his way of saying don't take Wickham too seriously. If you are jilted in love than you have much in common with your peers and you don't have to leave home. Surely Mr. Bennet uses teasing as a way to imply that he would rather Lizzie not get married, at least right now.
