...made me notice for the first time that it looks as though her last comment to Darcy at the ball (ch.18) is prophetic:

They part dissatisfied after Darcy wishes she would not sketch his character “at the present moment” and she refuses suggesting “I may never have another opportunity”.

This appears indeed for quite some time to be their last meeting. We have no indication that they will ever meet again until ch. 30, when he arrives at Rosings.

...ok, it's not confirmed until ch. 21 when Jane reads Caroline's letter, but still...
