I know it's a lot for one message. I got reprimanded at the beginning of the GR for separating the subject into different posts, so I have to be careful now! :)

I agree Charlotte does not literally have a hearing problem. She pretends not to hear. That can help to guard any vanity she may have and keep her from reacting, but it can't protect her inner self from annoyance IMO.
