Yes Mary did seem to try to educate herself, Mary being of little consequence as she sometimes seems in the book has made me neglect her and I apologize. She is not silly like Lydia and Kitty nor is she held in the light as much as Jane and Elizabeth and I have a tendency to overlook her character. She is an intresting figure and I wish I did pay more attention to her.
