When the book opens it is discussing the new Netherfield tenant Mr Bingley. Mrs Bennet is plotting how one of her girls can catch him. She uses the trick of not letting Jane use the carriage.

Did Mr Bennet recognize any schemes? How did he feel about the schemes being used?
