This indicates he knows Wickham VERY well...and that he has somehow lost Darcy´s trust in the past.

"He has lost your friendship...in a manners which he is likely to suffer from all his life" I understand this: he will suffer because of you Darcy!

And Darcy makes no answer...

What say you?
