Charlotte's brothers seem to be thinking Written by kathleen (elder) (4/24/2010 7:35 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, "The whole family, in short,, penned by nan duval

of the future. Aaron said that Charlotte was "already a burden to her parents," and I don't see that in the novel. And no "qualms about letting her go" (get married) is a long way from thinking that she's a burden, imo.
