Informative Statements   Written by Debra Mc (4/23/2010 2:07 a.m.)
Are you new?

I must admit I am catching up in the reading and have taken to listening to the audiobook by Irene Sutcliffe during my commute to catch up. At the end of each chapter as she reads, there is a nice dramatic pause that has had me reflecting on the last sentence of each chapter. Another place I see evidence of our dear JA as a master of her craft!

Through her last sentence we often learn much about her characters:

"In a softened tone she declared herself not at all offended; but he continued to apologise for about a quarter of an hour."

I wish I had been caught up fr the first section, becuase we cloud have explored character insight as well as foreshadowing.

In any case, I encourage you to spend a little time with the lasting thought JA left us with before you rush onto the next chapter.
