Escape (perhaps) is not his plan   Written by Robbin (4/21/2010 4:11 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, But he's not always going to be under, penned by CarolTS
Are you new?

Could Mr. Collins leave all Lady Catherine’s gracious condescension behind forever? Must Mr. Collins give up the living at Hunsford or could he just underpay another clergyman to do the work for him while he takes up the life of a land owner at Longbourn? I am not sure either of the possibility or the easiness of such a situation. If he can retain the living, one advantage besides the income would be in maintaining a tie to his beloved patroness.
