Good points. I have always wondered whether Written by Kathleen Glancy (4/21/2010 1:22 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, For Mr. Bennet's Amusement, penned by BarbaraB

in mentioning Mr Collins turning Mrs Bennet and the girls out of the house as soon as he is dead Mr Bennet is actually paraphrasing something his wife has said, possibly on more than one occasion. It sounds rather like her.
