Poor Mary Written by Lenora (4/21/2010 12:43 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Mary is not so bad., penned by nan duval

She really does try in her own way but doesn't realize her "audience" needs. If she were to apply her knowledge in matters where they are a better fit, then she could gain more respect. Instead of sharing knowledge based on what would be of interest to her listeners, she shares it based on what is of interest to her. It's a "push" not "pull" approach.

I also wonder if Mary really learns from what she's reading. She reminds me of something I heard an HR director say: You can have 12 years of experience or you can have one year of experience 12 times!
