which would make their marriage more successful than many romantic pairings that end in divorce, for example. But the two of them could never even have an intelligent conversation. Mr. Collins is full of himself and the condescension of others to himself. I think two reasonably sensible or thoughtful people who have very different interests and temperaments can grow to love (in the sense of having affection for) each other over the years. But Mr. Collins has neither of these traits.

As far as Lizzy's visit is concerned, I will leave comments on that for later...
