I agree   Written by CarolTS (4/20/2010 12:26 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Unwilling conversation at Netherfield Ball?, penned by Adrian
Are you new?

I see nothing in the text of the Netherfield Ball to say that she dragged him into conversation. Just because she initiated it doesn't mean he wasn't willing to participate. As you've been noting, he doesn't initiate conversation very often, even with the best of friends.
