Do we drop our friends because they do something   Written by AnnetteJ (4/20/2010 8:27 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Not quite the same boat, penned by CarolTS
Are you new?

with which we disagree? I have a friend with whom I have very little in common and we differ on many things, including being judgemental as opposed to making a judgement. To me, being judgemental means looking at someone the way a judge or jury would and deciding that the person is guilty or innocent, good or bad, etc., while making a judgement is "well, that decision, or that action, is not for me, but to each his own.." Is Lizzy being judgemental or making a judgement or somewhere in between? I think in this case she is heading more toward being judgemental and letting that influence her feelings toward Charlotte, which in my opinion is unfortunate, as Charlotte is, outside of Jane, LIzzy's best friend.
