her dear friends future? I'm not as disappointed with Elizabeth's rash judgment as she is in her reaction to Charlotte's decision. Without dropping spoilers, Miss Austen has often created favorable ways for relational improvements over gradual time throughout many of her novels. Sadly, in an act of almost desperation does Charlotte decide and Elizabeth reacts with great emotion. Close friends: totally different personalities and circumstances. JA has painted a truly complex and wonderful character in Elizabeth Bennet. I'm on her side in that I would probably react in a similar manner to a close friend making a seemingly insane choice. Let's see where the relationship goes as the story progresses.
