Which sister is asking Caroline a million questions...   Written by Anne-Marie (4/19/2010 12:16 p.m.)
Are you new?

about Wickham? I know a lot of people think it's Jane but that doesn't make sense to me. Jane wouldn't be likely to be so indiscreet about letting Caroline know that Lizzy liked Wickham, and we later learn that Jane has been asking Bingley about Wickham, so I don't think she would be asking Caroline too. Besides, Lizzy told Jane about her conversation with Wickham at the Philips party, and I'm sure she would have mentioned his connection to Darcy, yet Caroline thinks Lizzy doesn't know that Wickham's father was steward to Darcy's father. Also, Caroline's tone seems a bit peevish, and at this point she is still acting as though she is Jane's friend. If it were Jane she would probably say so. I can imagine her saying in a whiny voice, "Your sister (one of the younger ones whose name I can't bother to remember) has been asking a million questions (and I wish she would shut up already)." I think it's Lydia. Any ideas?
