Are you new?

I think this sheds light on why she opposed Darcy so steadfastly. It puts a different spin on the coversation. Is she really discussing Darcy's behavior and criticizing it, rather than praising Bingley's?

If this is what is really going on, it still shows that she was arguing out of bias against Darcy and hurt pride, rather than a general principal of her own in favor of persuadibility.
