of character doesn't she? But does that mean that she is one? And Wickham is friendly, seemingly open, and is paying attention to her in a way that can only seem positive by contrast to Darcy's manner. And he probably looks good in his uniform! Just because we readers like, and perhaps identify strongly with, Lizzy doesn't mean she has all the answers.
