My response in that case is that I summarized what I thought were the important points of the first two messages to illustrate Darcy's progress toward humanity. In that light, I consider the two skipped instances as merged into the larger arguments of my second message; there I wasn't trying to repeat the list, but to outline his path from arrogant aloofness to cautious approach.
