I think Mr. Bennet would encourage Mrs. Bennet by playing on her words and amusing himself with the results! But I see the similarity you're drawing... :D

Line, I think it's interesting that in all the places you mentioned, Lizzy is always contradicting or disagreeing with Darcy...she never agrees with him! I think that it is done honestly and really is her opinion, but she's also definitely not going out of her way to find situations in which they have something in common. :D
